Borhani is one kind of traditional yogurt drink in Bangladesh. It is a common recipe in Bangladesh. Borhani is served at the marriage
ceremonies of Bangladesh. Borhani is also served at the all kinds of functions of Bangladesh. No functions, occasion or ceremony will be arranged without Borhani. So, I would like to share with you the authentic recipe for
Borhani. The cooking process of Borhani is very easy. The method of preparation of this recipe is given below;
Ingredients:
4 cups yogurt
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
2 tablespoons black salt
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander
1 tablespoon ground mustard
1 tablespoon mint leaves paste
2 tablespoons green chilli paste
Salt to taste
1. Roast the cumin seeds and coriander very lightly over a low heat and grind them.
2. Beat or blend the yogurt. Strain through a cheese cloth.
3. Place the ingredients in the jug of a mixer. Blend for 1 minute. Season to taste with more spices and a little sugar and salt.
4. Keep in the refrigerator.
Serve at lunch or dinner. 6 servings.
