Lemon Flavored Chickpeas

Everybody knows that chick peas recipes are very delicious recipe. We can make various types of chick peas recipes. Lemon flavored chickpeas is one of them. Chickpeas is found in plenty is Asia. The peasants of Asia grow a lot it. The vegetarians are very fond of this recipe. It is very easy to prepare chick peas recipes as well as lemon flavored chickpeas. Some ingredients are necessary to prepare this recipe. The method of preparation is here;
Ingredients:
½ teaspoon shredded ginger,
½ teaspoon ground turmeric,
2 teaspoon sugar,
2 tablespoons cooking oil,
½ teaspoon mustard seeds,
2 lemon leaves,
Salt to taste.
Method of Preparation:
1. Cook the chickpeas with ginger and
turmeric in 4 cups of water till they are softened and well cooked. Add salt,
sugar and 1 – 2 cups of water. Bring to boil.
2. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the
mustard seeds. When seeds pop quickly add boiled chickpeas, bring to a boil,
and remove from heat.
3. Add the lemon leaves to the chickpeas
and keep covered. Remove the leaves after 3 minutes.
Serve with fluffy boiled rice or
chapatti. 4 – 6 servings.
